Board

Members of the board of the Afghanistan Committee are elected at the annual general meeting for a term of two years. The board is accountable to the committee’s members and is responsible for developing the strategic direction and organisational guidelines, based on the organisation’s values and principles. It ensures that the committee adheres to its own principles and values, is responsible for health, environment and safety, exercises financial control, and implements effective measures against corruption.

The Secretariat is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our office in Oslo. The Secretary General reports to the board.
