Farid is originally from Afghanistan but has lived in Norway since 2002.

He has studied social science with human resource management at the University of Stavanger (UiS), holds an Executive Master of Management from BI Norwegian Business School, and has further education in adult education from UiS. Farid has previously worked as, among other things, reception centre manager at Stavanger Reception Centre, in various positions for smi human, and as department manager in Sandnes municipality, as well as department manager at NAV Arbeidslivssenter Vest-Viken. Today Farid works as HR Director in Holmestand municipality.
