Half of all teachers do not have sufficient qualifications to meet the minimum requirements set by the Ministry of Education. The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee offers formal qualification through a professional development program that lasts three years. The course is held during the winter holidays so that teachers are not taken out of their classrooms.
