We are thrilled to unveil our improved logo and brand identity! Inspired by Afghan nature and cultural expressions, this adjustment reflects our continued commitment to the Afghan people, our organization’s own history and commitment, innovation, and our journey forward.

The renewed colors are collected from Afghan nature and fabrics.

The Norwegian Afghanistan Committee works solely in Afghanistan and therefore holds a unique knowledge about the country and its many ethnic groups. The Visual Identity tries to reflect this bound by honoring some of the visual expressions in the Afghan nature and culture.

This visual identity is an updated, modern evolution of the logo that the Norwegian Afghanistan Committee has used for many years. The revisions to the logo, fonts, and colors emphasize Afghan visual expression, including the languages Dari and Pashto. This update not only highlights our commitment and solidarity to the Afghan people, but also helps distinguish us from other organizations.

Why the change?

🔹 To better represent our unique knowledge of Afghanistan

🔹 To offer a more modern and vibrant feel

🔹 To ensure we stand out in our field of work

What’s new?

🔹 Logo:

Our improved logo symbol has been part of our identity for several years, now with a custom typographic solution bridging Dari, Pashto, and Latin typography, reflecting our cultural competence and professionalism. The heart has long been a central element of our logo; symbolizing the deep solidarity and respect we hold for the Afghan people. The heart’s shape has been adjusted to align with our new typography, creating a unified design that integrates elements from Dari, Pashto, and Latin scripts. This change ensures our logo looks cohesive and inclusive across all languages.

🔹 Color Palette:

NAC’s renewed colors, based on Afghan nature and cultural expressions.

Green: Represents growth, spring, and life, a color long associated with our organization.

Blue and Beige: Symbolize the sky and the earth, used as backgrounds.

Colors from Afghan Fabrics: Energetic and vibrant, representing Afghan people and culture.

🔹 Typography:

Jacob Sans for Latin characters, Bahij Yekan for Dari and Pashto, selected to harmonize and bridging the different typographies.
